Oh hey, so it's technically my birthday now. Allow me to celebrate in my usual, incredibly dumb fashion!

So I bought a packet of Mikado today.

The box is tiny and it costs more than Pocky itself. However, there's quite a lot in the box compared to Pocky, the chocolate AND the pretzel base is much better quality, and it doesn't leave a waxy coating in your mouth afterwards. A++, would nom again. I would dearly like to see Strawberry (and possibly Milk flavor, too) Mikado exist, though.

Also, I now have ten different potplants. Two of them are fruit-bearers, not counting the lavender, and one of them is a large planter full of mixed wildflowers that are probably annuals, but it still doesn't detract from the fact that my window is FULL of green things right now.

Back from Perth (Since Monday afternoon, actly.) Barring the fresh air and the bead shop I spent nearly £40 at getting new and exotic beads, it was kind of suck. Mostly because it rained, practically everything closed on Sunday, and all the fun outdoors things were all only CAR ACCESSIBLE WTF. Also, I had a nasty-ass cold all weekend which caused me to cough non-stop.

Plus, in the B&B, the couple in the room across from us were INCREDIBLY LOUD. IF YOU GET WHAT I AM IMPLYING.

I've kind of got into Viva Pinata lately. Partially because the game world is endearing and full of personality AND NOT GREY-BROWN IN HUE, but mostly, I blame the fact the accessory shop allows me to do this:



I NOW HAVE THE BEST PRETZTAIL EVAR. Also, the massive amount of gas mask-toting Candaries in one of my gardens caused my mine to spew forth a Dragonache egg in about two or three game days (I'm not sure how long that is in game time but I have a feeling it's NOT VERY LONG AT ALL. XDD)

Only one day till my jorb interview AND MIND OVER MUTANT. I have a feeling tomorrow is gonna be a fairly epic day for me.

On a less AC-related note, I'll be in Perth all weekend, and I don't know if I'll be able to internet during that time, so don't freak out if I'm not online during that time. (I don't think anyone will actually need/want to get ahold of me, but I'm giving a heads-up just in case.)

(And as the world seems to be opposed to me having fun this weekend, the forecast for the weekend is rain and I have developed a nasty dry tickly cough. Lovely.)

-Finish pinboard case. Get cork tiles, velvet. Also, possibly paint the outside.

Dog got put down this morning.

....Yep, crying like a small child. Thought so.

So our dog, with her wheeziness and her sudden lack of mobility and her Really Fucking Old-ness, is getting taken to the vet on Tuesday. Probably to be put down.

...I'm not all that sad just yet. Possibly because it hasn't sunk in yet, or possibly because she's like twelve (which is a pretty good age for a greyhoundy-whippety-lurchery-type dog) and it doesn't really surprise me.

Oh, and I saw The Dark Knight yesterday, but I don't really think right in the middle of an semi-emo entry like this a good time to talk about it. :D

So I found my old copy of Resident Evil 2, re-bought Tomb Raider 1 and 2 and got ready to settle down for a little oldskool gaming...

Only to remember the TV attached to my PS2 is fucking BROKEN. Curses. DX

I've seen the exact same TV (except, well, it works) for sale in a secondhand shop for £40, so I might try getting that assuming I don't find a cheap, decent-sized flatscreen TV before then.

Also, the tram-related roadworks have caused my local aquarium shop to get shut down. This is the first time I've actually been severely inconvenienced by the tramworks (Pets And Things getting closed was more of an "Awwwww, but they've been there forever! D:" moment, as they have another branch just down the road) as the nearest other aquarium shop is two bus journeys away (There's always the one up at Gorgie, but I never feel comfortable taking fish home that far on the bus). Though I guess I'll be okay so long as I'm just getting food and cleaning stuff, as Pets at Home stocks that and I'm up that way getting rat supplies monthly anyway.

HOLY SHIT, WHERE THE HELL DID ALL THIS MOTIVATION COME FROM??

Amazing what a cup of tea and remembering I can play DVDs again can do.

I think I might have to just accept that I can only really seem to keep bettas in bowl environments.

Most other fish inserted into that tank do FINE. Oshare!Betta was doing great in his little bowl until I decided he'd be better off in the tank, and I found him dead today. (His death was always going to be kind of ironic considering I named him after an undead skeleton. XDDD) Maybe it's true what they say about

I think I'll just have to suck it up and clean out the bowl when I get my next betta.

So yeah, today was my birthday. Once again, I feel old as hell.

I don't think Tegaki and I really work well together. It seems for coloring I can either scribble a lot and have the image kind of confusing, or plan it out beforehand and have the image rather flat and stiff looking. Or maybe I should just stick with lineart. XD

The boy rats possibly have mites. Or they just like scratching until they make themselves bleed. Either way a vet visit is likely in order, and it could not have come at a more financially inappropriate time(with £30-40 to my name until wednesday and the pressing need I have for a haircut and such.). But that's the danger of owning loveable-yet-insanely-fragile-and-short-lived-pets, I guess. HAIR CAN WAIT.

My sleeping schedule seems to be eerily normal just now. I think it's because of my window blinds being open for once. Plus I slept on my arm funny and when I woke up it was a symphony of OW(and it still is).

All my bed and desk stuff is now in my room, so now all I have to do is set up all my shit and move it into my room. Currently I'm at about 45%, and so far, it's turning out vaguely claustraphobic-ish. But eh, I kinda like it that way.

It's also made me realise, when rummaging through my endless piles of stuff, that I desire more of those black "contemplation" aromatherapy tealights. Too bad it seems they don't make them anymore. D:

...Faced with the prospect of emptying this pile of clutter (and snotty tissues, seeing as my flu is still present), my wish to be productive has hit rock bottom, as it often tends to do. I NEED TO FUCKING STOP THAT OKAY. >:E

THINGS THAT MUST BE DONE TOMORROW OR BY TOMORROW:

-Get new fishbowl and gravel for Oshare, seeing as I broke his old one in the process of cleaning it. (God knows how.) I don't want to recycle gravel that might have broken glass in it, so the whole lot is getting replaced. I'll probably try to get a color of gravel that contrasts with his cambodian red-ness (so... blue or green, I guess. :B) and maybe AN ACTUAL FUCKING ORNAMENT to put in the bowl.
-Buy foods.
-Buy change counter and bank bags to count out Sean's piggy bank money, which has been lounging around my desk for months now.
-Put all of my desk-related stuff into crates for the maneuver into crates in anticipation for moving stuff.
-Clean out the rat cages.
-Work out another meeting with employment agency people.
-Get a flawless, no-loss victory on the WakuWaku course in PPF so I can justify myself taking a crack at the HaruHaru course (Shhh, I'm a perfectionist. 8D)


Also, I have decided. I WANT PPF2 FOR CHRISTMAS. Because I need moar gay skeleton-related puzzle fun.

Also, from what I've seen of ratbat's entry plugging the whole thing on youtube, Felidae might be one of my new favorite animated films. The animation is pretty as hell, the story is good and the dream sequences are fucked up enough to rival Watership Down's.

That and there's a scene with a mad scientist performing experiments drunk. And that's just LOL. XDDD

As if my brain was punishing me for sleeping at night, I also had a nightmare about evil grinning satanic baby monsters that I had to kill with the water drained off boiling peas/broccoli which was like their version of holy water or something... it was ridiculous, but scary as hell in my dream. It'd probaby make an amazing scary movie.

In other news, I have just utterly LOST my fucking mobile. Which wouldn't be a big deal if it wasn't out of charge to boot. I know it's in the house, but WHERE? D: I thought it was in my room, but I turned that fucker upside down looking for it!... Unless it's in my brother's bed for some inscrutable reason. Or maybe it's in the living room, even if I did look there already...

Also, I still haven't started that cleaning job due to the guy who was supposed to sign me up seeming to have vanished, so I'm just gonna look for another job. X_x I bet I'd never have had this problem with the Filmhouse...

So I thought today was Start New Job day, but I arrived at the place and everyone present was all "DOI?". So I don't think it was. I phoned up the work agency people to see about it, so I should get some answers soon.

Also... Milly seems to have lost the will to live. She wasn't well before, but Meryl going seems to have made her go "DAMMIT, WORLD, YOU MADE SISTER BE DEAD?! OH, FUCK YOU, LIFE. FUCK YOU. I'M OUTTA HERE. >:O"

Really, losing two rats in the space of one month would be VERY shit, but at least Milly will most likely go in her sleep as opposed to having to be put down. D:

The babies are still all healthy and hyper; I can now more or less tell what gender and color they're all going to be now. Thankfully for me, there are no babies with the same color and gender, so there's no chance of mixing up babies.

Also, PW3 out in the US? DO WANT! (I'm just going to go ahead and make BOOT TO THE HEAD my PW tag. XD)

Actually, there's a lot of things I want right now. I should probably make more jewelery so I can sell that and then use the money to buy myself stuff.
