braintumblerate... looks to be pretty much dead already. X_X
I just wanted to know if people are still interested - there are three apps up, none of them stampable yet. If nobody's interested, I was probably just going to delete it. There's another rating comm I've been dying to start up, one I'll probably be better able to promote and run, so it'd probably just end up being a problem trying to hold onto a project that definitely won't be going anywhere.
If so, please, feel free to join and post! No sign of life in... probably even a week, and it's gone.

AHHHHHH sorry guys and gals, we're so swamped. We actually laid the groundwork for a new short that we think you'll enjoy - and Yuko started inking the first page - when we realized just how much work we have. ): Unfortunately our client stuff has gotta take priority, but we didn't want to leave you guys hanging.
With apologies out of the way, I can say it's pretty exciting to show the groundwork for Girl with the Skeleton Hand. This is typical of how Yuko works - character designs, I hand her a script, thumbnails, then pencils + inks + colors. That sounds nice and simple written out like that, but it's a surprising amount of work. There's also a lot of dialogue editing after the fact, often times because some nuance in a facial expression reveals something new. Anyway, hope you like the peek into Yuko's sketchbook!
Regarding the store - new reduced shipping prices are in effect! Always doing my best to reduce the final cost of something for your guys' sake, and I finally managed it. Oh, also: 2XL and 3XL Mawzantine mens shirts are now available, in very limited quantities!

Oh man, last night's dream.
So. Alton Brown invites me over to his house - we're gonna hang out, maybe watch a DVD, cook some stuff, and just chill. But when I get there, I'm face to face with 5 world-famous chefs, all standing there in the kitchen, brightly backlit.
We're each supposed to make a spectacular dish using a particular ingredient. I think Morimoto got pine nuts. Someone else got filet mignon.
I got Goldfish crackers.
So I'm sort of freaking out, trying to figure out how the hell to make a gourmet presentation out of Goldfish. I settle for sort of a layered goat-cheese-and-rabbit-pate thing, and then attempt to arrange it artfully. The little crackers keep coming apart, sliding around on the ornate blue ceramic platter. The arrangement is terrible.
I'm already out the door as the other chefs tear into the dish, indignant that I sullied the competition with such a submission. I sigh heavily and leave through the garage door.
The next day, the Food & Life section of the newspaper boasts a gushing, glowing review of my Goldfish dish, complete with ass-kissing comments from the other chefs (who have apparently done a 180.)
Yeah I don't even know.

Wednesday, Nov 11th, 2009 -- You really don't need that second cup of coffee today. You already have so many ideas running around in your head that it's challenging to focus on any one of them for more than a minute or two. Just as you realize how you can make use of a new concept, something happens to distract you and you're off to ride the next train of inspiration. Instead of attempting to rein your thoughts in now, allow your stream of consciousness to take you where it will. You'll be able to regain your focus with a fresh new attitude tomorrow.

things are changing, for the better in many ways but it won't make my job easier and I'll bet it won't carry any more money.
Got my legs rewrapped, the skin is coming on well under the wrappings.
Did the laundry. Decided to have Fish & chips.... went to the usual place and texted Niece.
Guess what. 3 cod 1 plaice 4 chips 4 teas 4 cans 4 gherkins 4 mushy peas....
and BANG went my liquidity.
They gonna pay next time....

Its decidedly chilly...
having stayed at work (not neccessarily working, tho') I got home to find the road near as damnit full! - I'm parked up the road a hell of a way...
needed change for tomrrow, went to Mickey Ds to get som... had a Chicken mayo and a Big Tasty. They've nearly got the BK flavour right now...
The Happy Meal toys are rather furry at the moment, being from Fantastic Mr Fox... there is a Mrs Fox figure (imagine Flo Ambrose in a happy meal) and a little mirrored toy that is a variant of the old Victorian zoetrope....
Got change, got home it's 61 degrees Fahrenheit in the kitchen, even. Brrrrrrr!
Got the laundry ready, the laundry bits ready, and the bandage bag (my legs need bandaging again tomorrow) ready.
Gonna go to bed, wrapped against the cawd.

1. What is your favorite thing (or a favorite thing) about your house?
Probably the neck-high wood paneling. I feel like I'm at the Great Northern Hotel from Twin Peaks when I'm in my house. <3
2. What song (or songs) do you feel most accurately describes how you're feeling right now?
I'm sure tomorrow, I'll be feeling more like this, but I'm currently in a state of relaxment, so I have the Twin Peaks intro in mind since I brought up Twin Peaks (which consequentially inspired Apoptygma Berzerk's "Moment of Tranquility," which is also nice and relaxing, but angsty if you listen to the lyrics. I'm far from angsty, though.)
3. If you could spend a day with anyone (famous, non-famous, fictional or whatever), who would you want to hang out with and what would you want to do?
I think I'd either like to pal around with George Washington or Buddha. I can't decide. Like, hang out in the park and swing on swingsets or something. And like, meditate. |3

I'm partial to fall, but as I've gotten older, I've started to appreciate spring before things get sweltering. I used to hate heat and find cold invigorating, but now cold bites down on me and I have to cover up.
