A couple of days ago, an IRL friend remarked (as constructive criticism) that I haven't really improved much in the past few years. She's pretty much right, and it's bugged me even before she mentioned it.

I need to get back into drawing. Lifedrawing classes would certainly not go amiss.

Also, I need to finish tidying my room. But that's a whole other genre of Things I Need To Get Done.

Either the best or dumbest thing I've ever done.

Sorry for the lack of updates. things've been either really boring, or things I don't feel like posting online for whatever reason.

I might be getting a job at the local reptile specialist pet store. I hope I get the job, anyway. That'd be so freaking awesome. (eeeeee babby cornsnakes)

I tried this new-fangled speedpainting thing out in OC1. Clearly, I need to practice.

Seems to have came out in a different style from what I usually use... I like the run-through-photoshop version better, though.

So my computer isn't booting up when I turn it on. I think I've worked out what's wrong with it (Three beeps means the RAM card is loose or something, right?), but as I don't trust myself to fix it I'm going to have to take it to the repair place at some point tomorrow. I'll probably be on Xbox Live all night, so if anyone wants to contact me till it gets fixed (lol unlikely) I'll be on there.

YES, FOR ONCE LIVING IN THE UK PAID OFF FOR ME. I GOT TO SEE IT BEFORE THE US.

MY THOUGHTS!:

-I was reminded strongly of the last Transformers film in that:
A)Bumblebee was hillarious and win
B)Optimus was fucking epic and awesome
C)There was too much of the teenaged human characters (WAY less than last time, but still too much for my tastes)
D)The robot I liked best died. D: NOOOOO JETFIRE YOU WERE OLD AND COOL AND HAD A ROBOBEARD AND WERE BRITISH AND HAD A CANE (Also, lol at Frenzy's "cameo")
E)The army guys are still pretty awesome. I liked the fact they seemed to be all BFFs with Optimus. :B
F)And finally, with most of the robots, I had no idea who was who, most had like one speaking line and thus I didn't care when they died.

OKAY BACK TO THE REVIEW

-Omglol psycho hosebeast robot lady. WITH GIANT LICKER TONGUE.
-I don't know what to think of those two Autobot comic relief twin sidekicks. On one hand, they were giant stereotypes, but on the other they had their funny moments...
-Okay I think I totally ship Simmons/Sam's Cowardly Screaming Roommate now.
-So wait, now Sam's crazy and symbol-drawing and his ability to read books in seconds is never brought up again? WTF.
-WAIT, SO YOU BROUGHT SCORPONOK BACK RIGHT NEAR THE END OF THE FILM JUST FOR HIM TO GET HIS ASS KILLED?! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU, MOVIE?? (At least let the awesome army guys kill him! D: What an anticlimax.)
-Are those ruins hiding the Tomb of the Primes the same ruins that the Holy Grail was hidden in in The Last Crusade? O:

So I bought a packet of Mikado today.

The box is tiny and it costs more than Pocky itself. However, there's quite a lot in the box compared to Pocky, the chocolate AND the pretzel base is much better quality, and it doesn't leave a waxy coating in your mouth afterwards. A++, would nom again. I would dearly like to see Strawberry (and possibly Milk flavor, too) Mikado exist, though.

Also, I now have ten different potplants. Two of them are fruit-bearers, not counting the lavender, and one of them is a large planter full of mixed wildflowers that are probably annuals, but it still doesn't detract from the fact that my window is FULL of green things right now.

I wish I could get over this cloud of emo mood that's been plaguing me these past few weeks(months?). I don't think it's normal practice to burst into tears while watching Kiki's Delivery Service.

Also, I've been fighting a losing battle with my fishtank lid these past few weeks. The lights are busted, and even though I've changed both bulbs and both starter plugs, the goddamn thing STILL isn't working. Sigh. (The tank gets sunlight for part of the day, though, so the plants won't die at least.)

On the bright side, I got the DVD of Kung Fu Panda while buying the new starter plugs, and that film is pure distilled pretty-art-style-eye-candy artistic inspiration for me. I might go looking for the art book when I've got the money for it. Plus, I finally got that Japanese Peace Lilly I wanted. My room is kind of starting to resemble a rainforest. XD Including my mum's pepper plant, I have seven pots with plants in them in here now. Sure, the sensitive plant is basically dying, but the parlor palm contains an unidentified trailing plant with green-and-white leaves as well and I'm on the lookout for another Venus fly trap, so.

And on the brighter side yet, I finally got VLC player to screencap properly without crashing! OH GOD, THE POWER. I AM TOTALLY WATCHING ALL MY ANIMATED FILMS (All four of them excluding the Ghibli films? Oh how ambitious of you Holly) AGAIN SOMETIME SOON AS THAT BECOMES WAY MORE FUN WHEN I CAN STOP MID-MOVIE AND MAKE A RIDICULOUS ICON OR SILLY MACRO.

So did Daniel Radcliffe just win Eurovision? Because that guy looked a lot like Daniel Radcliffe.

It didn't suck this year, thankfully. The UK did better than I thought they really should have, but I blame Andrew-Lloyd-Webber for that. XD (ALSO WHY DID MY PARENTS AND BROTHER INSIST ON TALKING OVER SEVERAL SONGS? GAAAWD)

-Sweden. Their singer was very good at the operatic parts, but very bad at the normal singing parts. The tune was catchy, though!
-I was kinda sad Portugal didn't do better. I think it was because she wasn't a skinny waif. Which is dumb, because she was a proportionate, good-looking sort of chubby.
-Greece's singer looked like some sort of generic boyband singer, but I liked the song. I'm a sucker for techno-y europop like that.
-Armenia's song was neat and so were their costumes, but did the backing dancers REALLY need to wear stockings and suspenders? It kind of ruined the whole "traditional dress" thing.
-Azerbaijan's song was awesome. I can't remember much else about it.
-Bosnia/Herzegovina's song was okay, but I liked the old timey military coats they were wearing better than their actual song. XD Ooh, if they made those in black... OH WAIT APPARENTLY THEY DO. DO WANT!
-Nice Ronan Keating impersonation, Denmark.
-Germany's song was pretty cool and kinda jazztastic, but EEAAARGH OH GOD WHAT IS WITH THAT LADY'S TINY TINY WAIST D8
-Turkey's song was good, but the costumes made me think of the dancing girls the Genie magicked up in Never Had A Friend Like Me. XD
-I liked Norway's song too, but I already made a funny comment about it. XD
-I felt really bad for the girl who was actually SINGING Romania's song. Poor thing, stuck in the back like that...
-Some of Finland's male band members were dressed like members of Limp Bizkit. I loved their song, though! More of that techno-y europop stuff.

On a completely unrelated note, WHY THE FUCK ARE INK DIP-PENS SO HARD TO DRAW WITH AAAAAAAAARGH *RAGEQUITS THEM FOR THE DAY. AGAIN.*

OH GOD I BANDWAGONED.

I had to get Lilli!Rat and Chloe!Rat put down this weekend. D: I didn't mention it before because I've been kinda distracted since then. Plus, my LJ seems to be full of ratdeath lately - I'm down to three rats now; Turk!Rat, DrCox!Rat, and Stan!Rat. I would be on the lookout for new rats at this point, but the fact is my mum's new allergies forbid it. (I might get some form of reptile after all the rats are gone, I guess. I don't think reptile allergies exist.)

Not only did Carla!Rat die last week (I didn't mention it because I had stuff to do. But she was very ill, and it was not a very big surprise.), but just now I found out Bug the insanely cute photogenic rat died as well! D8

I'm probably going to move the two remaining girl rats into the one-story cage I've had laying around. Mostly because Chloe!Rat's headtilt means that if she loses her footing near one of the ramps in the current cage, she quite frequently will roll all the way down the ramp to the next floor (unharmed, but entirely astonished). Which elicits a reaction somewhere between "Aww, poor Chloe fell down!" and "PFFFTSNRKOHGODISHOULDN'TBEFINDINGTHISSOFUNNY". I would like to rectify this before Chloe DOES hurt herself. I have cleaned out both the fish tank and the boy's cage in the past two days, so I have no excuse to put this off any longer.

On the topic of not putting shit off any longer due to no valid excuse, I have no more games to finish so I am totally gonna finally install WoW today, no, really, NO TURNING BACK NOW HOLLY GET IT OVER AND DONE WITH NOW AAAAAAAAA FFFFFFFFFFFF REMEMBER TUNNEL SEVENTEEEEEN

I wish I had more to say about my day to day life, but I keep forgetting what happens each day because it's really boring.
